DICE Announces New Mirror’s Edge Time Trial Map Pack

EA Announces NASCAR Kart Racing
If Mario Kart isn’t intense enough for you, EA has something up its sleeve that will deliver an even bigger rush. Electronic Arts introduced NASCAR Kart Racing today, a title which is slated to be the first NASCAR game for the Wii. Shipping in North America on February 10, the release corresponds directly with the Daytona 500, an event which signifies the start of the 2009 NASCAR season. [more info]

SCi Picks Up Eidos Name
According to EdgeOnline.com, EK publisher SCi has dropped its name in favor of the more recognizable Eidos moniker. Edge reports that the publisher filed a request to switch names with the Registrar of Companies only yesterday, and has now taken the name officially. [more info]

December Guitar Hero DLC Revealed
New songs! That’s right people; we’ve got a list of upcoming DLC for Guitar Hero: World Tour. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Coming To North America
In addition to the announcement that Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories has hit retail, Square Enix dropped another bit of news regarding the successful franchise. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is now conformed for North American release, and will be the first in the Kingdom Hearts franchise to be designed specifically for the Nintendo DS. [more info]

The Witcher Confirmed For Consoles
Those who have been waiting for Projekt Red’s The Witcher to venture into console territory are in for a treat. Today at the Atari Live event in London, Atari and Projekt Red announced a global release of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Petroglyph Announces New Strategy Title Mytheon
True Games Interactive and game developer Petroglyph teamed up today to announce their newest project, Mytheon. Mytheon is being described as an online action-strategy title that will feature a micro-transaction infrastructure. Highlighted in the announcement we learned that the title will have a heavy focus on collectability and combat, while still including the best parts of action, strategy and RPG play. [more info]

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time Confirmed for NA
Square Enix just announced that the newest title in the Chrystal Chronicles franchise will be making its way to North America spring of 2009. Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is in development for both the Nintendo DS and Wii, and will allow players to team up with friends or work alone at any point in time of play. Echoes of Time will also allow for cross-platform play for the first time. [more info]
