Scorpion Ready To Uppercut Batman
Midway Games Inc. today announced that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe has gone gold and is scheduled to be available in retail stores throughout North America on November 16, 2008 and throughout Europe on November 21, 2008. [more info]

Sony Releases Firmware Update 2.52
Sony has released firmware update 2.52 for Playstation 3 owners. Playstation Network Operations Director Eric Lempel outlines the minor update at Playstation.Blog, stating, “the playback quality of some PS3 format software has been improved.” Also addressed in the firmware is the “text entry issue that occurs when using the on-screen keyboard, USB keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard with some PS3 format software.” [more info]

BioShock (PS3) DLC Detailed And Dated
2K Games took some time out of their afternoon to detailthe brand-new BioShock DLC that will be heading our way November 20. Available exclusively for the PS3, the DLC will consist of three new challenge rooms that occur outside of the main storyline. The content will be downloadable for $9.99 in North America. [more info]

Palin, Obama To Moonlight In Mercs 2
If nothing else, therecent presidential elections have almost certainly given the candidates thick skins--otherwise, the incredible media scrutiny, vicious attacks and pressure wouldhave reduced them to sobbing messes by now.Now it seems that Barack Obama and Sarah Palin will bebringing those hardened shells to the battlefield, or at least the virtual one. EA and Pandemic have revealed that the two will soon be available as playable characters in Mercenaries 2. We don't know exactly when players will be able to take on corrupt Venezuelan government officials in the game (with or without setting preconditions), but we'd be surprised if it wasn't here within weeks of the election. LittleBigPlanet DLC On The Way
Starting next Thursday, LittleBigPlanet players will be able to download new costumes for dressing up their SackPersons. The first batch, which hits Nov. 6, includes a nifty spacesuit and a better-late-than-never Halloween pumpkin helmet. Both outfits will be available at no cost, but you’d better act relatively fast—Sony is pulling the DLC offline after Nov. 19. [more info]
